Stainless Steel Wire Mesh
Stainless steel wire cloth consists of warp and weft threads, and the openings can be made in many geometries and sizes. The wire is usually crimped during the braiding process, and the opening is controlled during the process. Known for its versatility, corrosion resistance and strength, stainless steel wire mesh is widely used in aerospace, automotive, food and beverage, medical and pharmaceutical industries,agricultural, residential and horticultural uses, and can be used as vents, custom car grilles and filter systems.
1. Intermediate crimp or multiple crimp: Another enhancement to the basic pre-crimp braid. Both warp and weft threads are crimped with additional crimps or corrugations between intersections. This technique is often required when weaving large openings with fine wire. Mutual crimping ensures proper locking of warp and weft and adds rigidity and accuracy.
2. Plain Dutch Weave: Similar to plain weave, but the diameter of the warp is larger than the weft. The lighter wire mesh is driven closer to form a dense filter medium. This braid shows tapered or wedge-shaped openings.
3. Twill: Each warp thread and each weft thread continuously pass through the wire cloth above and below the two adjacent threads in the warp and weft direction. This up and down movement moves one thread with each pass of the shuttle. This pattern allows for heavier threads to be woven in different meshes.
Unlike other metals, stainless steel wire mesh has unique rust and wear resistance properties. Stainless steel wire cloth contains chromium and nickel in addition to steel, which increases corrosion resistance. It is also very durable and resistant to heat and cold.

T-304
304 stainless steel wire mesh is a basic stainless steel alloy containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It is not as corrosion resistant as T-316, but acceptable for most uses and more affordable. Intermediate service is available at high temperatures. Applications include sorting and screening of abrasives, liquids, powders and other solids.
T-316
316 stainless steel wire mesh is a special stainless steel alloy containing 18% chromium and 10% nickel, and 2% molybdenum. This combination makes the mesh resistant to corrosion by salts, acids and seawater. Its uses include processing oils and food, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
1. Product application. Conditions such as ambient and temperature play a key role in determining the required wire cloth.
2. Type specifications. The correct wire mesh size helps us ensure you have the correct wire mesh screen or wire mesh basket. Please specify the number of openings per inch, opening size or micron rating of the wire cloth you need, and the diameter of the wire you need. Our stainless steel wire cloths are also available in a variety of weave types including plain, twill, plain dutch and twill dutch.
3. Width and length. Standard widths are 36", 40", 48" and 60" and standard roll lengths are 100 feet.
4. Materials. Whether it is aluminium, brass, copper or stainless steel wire mesh, we can supply the cloth in any metal or alloy required.
